Dance to Awake is an ecstatic dance class that is built to wake up sensations, practice moving into what yogi's describe as 'witness consciousness' and grow the ability to consciously shift states of physical and psychological being. We use BioDynamic Movement, a connective tissue warm up, to ground your nervous system into a restorative, naturally open state and to explore 'textural movement' options before launching you onto a vibrant dance floor full of play and possibility! The intention is to bring you home to your own body and being as a sanctuary of restoration and resilience, while simultaneously expanding your capacity for imagination and joy. 

Along with developing your meditation practice in this class, you will develop more strength and flexibility while simultaneously increasing your ability to move fast, increase body post-workout recovery speed, and find more grace in all functional daily movement.

This is a 90 minute massage that is deeply relaxing and therapeutic for your body, mind, and heart. Embodiment Coaching

One of the most important foundational elements for personal development is finding someone who can “BE” with you without expectation or needing something from you.  You can not consciously grow or change without the reflective nature of such a relationship(s).  This is best revealed in group settings AND one-on-one sessions. 

We are beings meant to evolve and get clear on what it means to develop an intentional, loving understanding of our unique essence and life story for the purpose of radical self-realization.  We are happiest and our best self when we wake up to this innate evolutionary process.  

In the Biodynamic Movement’s model of life coaching, we focus on embodiment to integrate all aspects of ourselves.  This practice has its roots in Somatic Movement Education (SME).  Some definable aspects of SME practice:

  • Non-hierarchical Reflective Frameworks - a decentralization of decision-making and a shift from outside authority to self-responsibility.
  • Restful Resonance - practice is designed around relaxation and finding your ability to consciously deeply rest; engaging your nervous system’s parasympathetic response while moving into activity or 'doing".
  • Compassionate Companionship -  reflexive research with a companion to develop skills of witnessing Self and other, communication, empathy, bodily presence, and deep body listening.
  • Connection and Exploration of Mystery - we rekindle in-depth sense of connection and foster well-being while embracing 'not knowing' and 'knowing'.

Meditation Mondays

In this in-person group meditation, we start with a small warm up to prepare our bodies to sit in stillness. You will find that where there is more than one gathered to come into a sense of stillness and one-pointed focus, it becomes easier to calm the mind. This session is meant to help cultivate the great habit of daily meditation and usher in the well-known benefits of practice.
